On 24 May, the State Duma considered a number of high-profile bills. The first reading passed the norms on the introduction of external administration for businesses that have ceased to operate in Russia and on the closure of media outlets from unfriendly countries by decision of the Prosecutor General's Office. Two bills dealing with the protection of personal data of Russians were considered. The MPs also simplify the collection of court costs and awarded sums.
